KALISPELL - Jane Karas the president of Flathead Valley Community College represented Montana during the President's State of the Union Address.
Senator Max Baucus invited Karas, along with Bozeman High School Student Natasha Sullivan, to attend the event.
FVCC board members are looking at ways to provide more job opportunites for area businesess and residents throughout the valley. In March Karas said FVCC will be reaching out to area businesses to get input on higher education needs and assessments.
"That's something that community college is always looking at how we can continue to partner with business in the industry, K-12 and four year colleges to provide more opportunities for people in our community and our region,"? Karas said.
Jane Karas said she was honored to be chosen as a Montana representative to hear the historical State of the Union Speech.
